COURSE REPORT – MARCH 2025
Wild cyclone month it was, or should I say wild rainfall without the wind.
There was still some damage from all the rain, and all bridges across the course were washed away.
The entire carpark was a mess and we started with cleaning that up, including all drains.
The irrigation main line was washed away and has been repaired and is back in action.
A few trees were damaged but was mostly sticks and leaves and I counted 18 ute loads and the team got stuck into it, though getting the course back in action was a great effort.
The following week after receiving 400mm of rain, all of the rough still got mowed, and all bunkers had new sand added.
Plenty of prep work has been done this month in preparing for our new machinery shed.
The new rough mower is finally here and working well.
New flag poles and flags have been ordered.
We have ordered new stakes for all hazard areas and will begin painting them and put in place throughout the hazard areas next month.
Insecticide and fungicide have been applied to all greens.
The greens mower is now cutting at a lower height with the roller in action, and I am very happy with the greens and should start seeing a better ball roll.
More rain is predicted but hopefully they get this wrong again, as our main focus at the moment is to keep everything mowed down low, as much as possible.
