COURSE REPORT – JANUARY 2025
The year has started off very quickly and rough mowing is being completed every week.
A new rough mower will arrive early February and a new spray machine in March.
All bunkers have been trimmed and weeded.
All areas to the course were also snipped: dam walls, banks, drains, tee signs etc.
Cart paths have been repaired from washouts with road base.
We have purchased a new pole saw, and the boys have already started pruning low hanging branches around the course.
There was plenty of crowsfoot weeds pulled out of the second green, and the result from spraying the carpet grass out should be great and clearly noticeable after renovations.
All tees and greens surrounds were spot sprayed for weeds this month.
The part for the greens roller has been fitted and is now back in action.
Greens renovations will commence next week with the following:
Deep scarify with 12mm tine coring followed by heavy top dress of sand with gypsum added.
Amendments added and watered in throughout the week.
As mentioned previously, please do not touch any course irrigation, including valves or sprinklers as this can result in costly damage repairs for the club.
