The Nambour Ladies’ Cancer Charity Day on Saturday 11th September was once again a great success. We had 166 players in the field & Andys’ pink ribbon on the 3rd fairway spurred us all on. We thank all the players who participated & Steve, Nigel & Kynan for getting us all away. Our sponsors were amazingly generous & are too numerous to mention but include Australian Garage Supermarket, Win Television, Twin Waters Golf Club, Noosa Springs Golf Club & Cafe Gingers.

The best dressed person proved too hard to choose so we picked the team of Peter Teagle, Warren Brummer, Dave Niesler & Scott Boshammer. The attached pictures say it all, it was a very close call.

The most accurate drive was won by June Allen & Mick Coleman.

The best nett score was 50.5 - Steve Williams, Ken J. Martin, Adam Geary & Bill Geary.

The best mixed group turned out to be ring-ins from Agnes Waters near 1770 with 50.62 – Kina Hazell, S. Hazell, W. Hazell & L. Hazell, obviously all related. The best runners up score was 50.87 – Joe Ferrier, Sal Saffioti, Brendan O’Dea & Dave Ayres.

The rundown went down to 52.62.

Congratulations to all the winners.

In our Silent Auction Yvonne Rayner bid the highest for 2 fishing trips with Odyssey Charters, Mick Coleman for Twin Waters Golf, Del Scott & Gail Campling for Noosa Springs Golf & Yvonne Rayner for Loose Goose.

Thank you all so much for supporting this annual event. $2,900 was raised for Nambour Hospitals’ Cancer Unit. What a fun way to raise money for a worthwhile cause.
